Chick Flicks

I would consider myself a girly-girl. I like pink. I like polka dots. I like musicals. I always wear nail polish.

I am not a fan of chick flicks. Especially the really corny ones.

Letters to Juliet: This could have been super cute. At the end (if you're surprised by this spoiler, please get a girlfriend or friends), this attractive bad actor is climbing up the balcony to this lovely actress. He falls, she runs to him and asks if he can move. And what does he rely? "Only my lips."

Please, just put me out of my misery.

It's Music to my Ears

Muse. The greatest band ever (besides Queen, but that goes without saying).

Now, another epic Twilight movie is coming out. For those of you who don't know, Stephenie Meyer was inspired by the Greatest band ever.

The new music video premiered today. Here it is for your viewing pleasure:

The Perks of being a Redhead

I've been a redhead my entire life. I've never dyed my hair. I didn't always like my hair, but, alas, I am pretty fond of it now.

My friend Carly just recently became a redhead. She didn't realize what it took to be a redhead until she died her hair that saffron color.

Pros
  • We are a dying breed. In fact, whenever I meet a redhead, it is suggested that we should create more redheads. (Authors note: this could be due to the fact that God made me gorgeous and not the fact that I'm a redhead)
  • We're kind of like celebrities. People come up to us and tell us they love our hair all the time. It just gets frustrating when I'm with the family and want to enjoy their company and not others fawning over me.
  • There is an entire South Park dedicated to ginger kids.
Cons
  • I get hit on my old men. A lot. Far more than appropriate.
  • One word: pasty. I reflect the light in pictures. Good news for those looking for a good tan. Just lay next to me and my pastiness will do the work.
  • People touch my hair without asking. I'm not even joking.
  • Growing up in Arizona. Like I said, I'm pasty. But more importantly, 3/4 of the state seems to be freaking blonde! Growing up in that community can be detrimental to a ginger-kid's self-esteem.

I'm a big kid now!

I graduate from my undergraduate career tomorrow...and Friday.

Then PARTY on Saturday.

Then: the real world.

I don't know whether I would stay in school longer or start my professional career. I've been procrastinating on the real world for quite some time now. I am, after all, the master at procrastination.

I know I'm going to be a writer. But freelancer, staff writer, creative writer. It's all up in the air right now.

And I COULD look at it as the glass is half full. But in this economy I'm looking at a glass half empty.

World, what should I be when I grow up (in two days)?
