Marketing Monday.
Mayor Bloomberg is all about making New York City more healthy. Now, he has these (in my opinion) brilliant advertisements on the Subway to help commuters get in shape.

Where Did America Go?
Reasons Men (and some Women) are Currently Failing Women:
Did I jump in a time machine back to 1970? Looks like I may be dropping out of school and fighting for my rights.

Lancaster County
Ah. Lancaster County: where the Amish, Mennonites and everyone else meet up to live in one small county.
It's really a beautiful area. The County itself has so much history and an interesting mix of cultures. There is shopping and supporting the locals, there is an opera house and there is an adorable Downtown.

Book Review: The Lover's Dictionary
The Lover's Dictionary
by David Levithan
"breathtaking, adj.
Those mornings when we kiss and surrender for an hour before we say a single word."
Synopsis: This is a love story about two people who live in New York City: one sure of herself, one not-so-sure of himself. This is a love story as told through dictionary entries. Each word tells a short story, giving the reader a glimpse into the love life of the narrator and his girlfriend. Sometimes he shares his philosophy on love in his relationship.
Review: 211 pages. One and a half days. That's how long it took me to read this book. During the entire book (which was read only on the Subway) I just kept thinking, every person needs to read this.
We are only given short glimpses into these two nameless characters' lives. However, Levithan makes every word count and add meaning to the story. The entries do not go in chronological order so we are told the problems of these two lovers almost right away. I found myself wanting to be both of their friends and becoming so invested in their relationship. Levithan somehow found a way to put love into words — using every letter of the alphabet.
Rating: 5 out of 5 goats

My first Birchbox.
Birchbox.
It's $10 a month. Each box contains multiple makeup and beauty samples.
I love makeup, for those of you who don't know. I've fallen off the wagon recently, due to the whole "glasses thing" and "not being able to afford more contacts thing." However! I just purchased another pack of contacts so eyes: get ready to be colored on.
I'm quite excited for all of the new products I'm going to discover.
